yes, I agree, there are many other factors... Russia would be a rich liberal democracy if it where just for hunter-gatherer admixture.. but then, framing has never been that important in Russia either, so a lack of farmers may have been one big obstacle on the road to wealth in the first place... wealth doesn't matter that much to hunter-gathers.
